Antarctica 2022
Crossing the Antarctic Circle over Christmas
Greg Mortimer; Crew was fantastic. Learned a ton about Birds, Marine Life, Plants, Photography and History! Drake Passage crossing was great. Normally the bridge is open but this was shortly post-covid so it was closed as a precaution. We were blessed to be with fellow passengers that truly had a passion for adventure. This is a small ship expedition cruise so we were able to have two landings per day to explore. My preference is small ship cruising, more intimate, higher number of landings. If you only want to watch from the balcony then there may be more cost effective options on the larger ships!
Pre and Post cruise activities in Ushuaia. Tierra del Fuego National Park, Tren del Fin del Mundo. I loved Argentina and would like to go back and explore more of the interior country. The food was amazing. The people were super friendly. Not every local spoke English but it wasn't hard to get around with the basics. Ushuaia was a very walkable city, lots to see, plenty of places to eat and drink🍺🍷.
Are you thinking about Antarctica? Are you asking yourself, what the heck is down there that I want to see? Let's talk. You won't be disappointed...Do it!
